Back To Karlskirche

About a year ago I sketched Karlskirche (St. Charles Church) for the first time. Last Wednesday the meeting of the USK Vienna took place in front of this impressive building. Maybe I will dare to put the whole facade on paper once, but until then it will take a lot of practice. The baroque almost kills the viewer. Countless figures, ornaments, arches and almost every window has a different shape. For a while I ran around helplessly, then I decided to take a side view. The preliminary drawing took an unusually long time (Baroque always leaves me out of concept.) After the end of the dome I should have stopped, because neither energy nor concentration were sufficient for the main entrance. At least I hid the last third behind a treetop.
