Shopping centres are high on the list of places I don’t like to be. However, they have their advantages, e.g. a roof terrace with a beautiful view. In this case it is the church of Mariahilf. Baroque façade, lots of figures, onion domes and a strange angle – for me the best conditions not to start sketching in the first place. All the more satisfied I am with my result. Since I have started to apply the watercolour immediately after a rough outline and draw the lines with a Sailor pen the sketches are much looser. Only the figures drive me crazy.
