Heinrich von Ferstel was fond of the Renaissance. I can’t do anything with Historicism, but even I like the Museum of Applied Arts (MAK). The disadvantage of a green city are the many trees blocking the front view of many buildings. Nevertheless the side view of the museum is also rather nice.
My smaller sketchbook (Stilman & Birn, Beta, A5, hardbound) is definitely an improvement. I can get lost into details, I am forced to concentrate on the important aspects, which means less front views and it is much easier to handle.
