The last outdoor sketch for 2017. I don’t believe we will get a winter this year but it is definitively too cold to sketch outside. I bought me Faber Castell PITT Artist Pen Brush (167107) in grey fitting the grey autumn day. They were perfect for the view from Dominikanerbastei to the Sofitel Vienna Stephansdom. Originally I wanted the sketch to stay in grey but the autumn foliage tempted me to some colour.

By the way: if you want to stay at this hotel because you think it is near St. Stephen’s Cathedral it’s not a good idea. In fact it is about 12 minutes walking distance from the cathedral.
